 Welcome to the Glastonbury Town Clerk's Online Public Record Search Page. This site contains information recorded into the Official Records of the Town of Glastonbury, CT from May 4, 1693 to the present.

The Town Clerk is pleased to offer 24/7 Internet access to the Next Generation Search application, SearchNG, which allows for real-time search, retrieval, and printing of land records data and documents stored on the Town Clerk’s Official Records System. Records stored on the system date back to May 4, 1693. In addition to the land records, all property maps, foreclosed property registrations and trade names are available on the system. With SearchNG, all search features available on Town Hall workstations are available to Windows users via the Internet.

Please consider using this invaluable online program to eliminate travel time and related costs, improve efficiency, create a more flexible workday, and shorten your search turn-around time.

You may continue to search the indexes free of charge, or you may subscribe to view and print images. Subscription options are a 1-month subscription at a cost of $25 or a 1-year subscription at a cost of $200. Both subscription options are subject to a convenience fee. Once you subscribe, the cost to print is $1.00 per image. You may pay as you go for printing images, which charge is also subject to a convenience fee, or you may prefer to save on convenience fees and prepay into an account than you can draw on from time to time for printing.

A search will return a list of Grantors/Grantees or Parties, Recording Date of the Document, and the Book/Page and Instrument Number of the Document. You may search on “Party Name,” ”Document Type,” “Date Range,” “Instrument Number,” “Book /Page,” or “Map Number.” The user is advised to search on all possible spelling variations of proper names in order to maximize search results. (Less is generally better , for example, use "DOE J" rather than  "DOE John Jay") For full instructions, please see the link at the bottom of this page just before selecting your search option.

Users may be restricted from accessing online search or records without notice. You are solely and entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. Furthermore, you are solely and entirely responsible for any and all activities which occur under your account.

Each registered user is granted a nonexclusive, nontransferable, limited license to access and use the online search program. This license is limited to the right to electronically display records retrieved from the online search program to no more than one person at a time and to print or download records via printing or save commands on the online search program. Except as expressly permitted in this section, you are prohibited from downloading, storing, reproducing, transmitting, displaying, copying, distributing or redistributing records retrieved from the online search program. You may not print or download the records without using the printing or save commands on the online search program. You may not use the online search program for any unlawful or abusive purpose or in any way which interferes with or disrupts the online search program or other users. You may not use the online search program as a service bureau or allow time sharing. You may not use any web spider, crawler, robot or any other type of automated process or protocol to search the online search program or collect records.

The online search program is available through the User’s connection to the Internet.The User understands that disruptions in service may occur in the event of disruptions in Internet availability, in the event of system service or for other reasons, and the Town of Glastonbury shall not be responsible for any such disruptions. The User acknowledges and agrees that the Town of Glastonbury is not responsible for delays or performance issues related to conditions on the Internet or the function of the User’s internet connection or other transmission lines.

By using the online search program in any form, the User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the recording jurisdiction and its respective officers, subsidiaries, employers and affiliates and anyone involved in storing, retrieving, or displaying this information for any damage of any type that may be caused by retrieving information and records through the online search program.

The Town of Glastonbury reserves the right to change these terms from time to time by posting new terms. Charges and payment terms and all other provisions may be changed by the Town of Glastonbury immediately upon notice. Your subscription for access to the online search program may be terminated immediately upon notice to the Town of Glastonbury if any change is unacceptable. Continued use of the online search program following any change constitutes acceptance of the change.

The Town of Glastonbury or User may terminate a registered User’s subscription for access to the online search program. The effective date of the termination shall be ten days after the receipt of an appropriate notice of termination, unless a later date is specified in the notice. The Town of Glastonbury may suspend or discontinue providing the online search program to the User without notice and pursue any other remedy legally available to it if the User fails to comply with the obligations hereunder. The terms and disclaimer shall survive any termination or expiration of the subscription.

The failure of the Town of Glastonbury or any third party supplier of records to enforce any provision herein shall not constitute or be construed as a waiver of such provision or of the right to enforce it at a later time.

No refunds or credits will be issued for termination, cancellation or interruption of service for any reason.

These terms represent the entire agreement between the User and the Town of Glastonbury, which may only be amended as described herein. If any part of these terms is deemed invalid, all other terms will remain enforceable.
